Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures of 2010 ™ Launches Today.

Toronto, April 6, 2010: The Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures of 2010 program, now in its 6th year, launches today with Waterstone Human Capital’s annual Canadian Corporate Culture Study and Nomination Process.

Beginning today, senior executives across Canada will be asked a variety of questions about corporate culture. At the end of the survey, respondents will be asked to nominate organizations they most admire for having a corporate culture that has impacted performance.

The Canadian Corporate Culture Study and Nomination Process serves as the first step of the annual Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures program, which culminates in a national awards gala. Last year, a record number of nominations and submissions were received.

The deadline for completed surveys and nominations is Friday, April 23rd, 2010.

Nominated organizations will be notified in mid-May and will be invited to participate in the next phase of the program, the formal submission.

“We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s program will include a regional qualification element,” says Marty Parker, managing director, Waterstone Human Capital, a leading professional recruitment, executive search and human resource consulting services firm and the founders and presenters of the Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures program.

“This is an important development for Canada’s 10 and a testament to the increased interest in the program. It means an extended national reach to what we do.”

The 2010 process will operate as follows:

  • Nominated organizations will be notified in mid-May and will be asked to make a formal submission to the program. The submissions are due June 30th, 2010.
  • Submissions will then be sorted by three regions (Western, Central and Quebec & Atlantic Canada). Each submitting organization will participate in a face-to-face interview with Waterstone Human Capital.
  • The Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures Board of Governors will choose 10 finalists per region, as well as a regional finalist in these two areas: Public Sector and Best Emerging Organization.
  • Finalists will then be recognized in their respective regions, at celebratory receptions, in October.
  • In early November, Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures of 2010, in addition to the two special category national winners, will be chosen from the list of finalists by the Board of Governors.
  • Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures of 2010 will then be feted in February of 2011 at the 6th Annual Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures Awards Gala.
