OUR STORY: IT'S ABOUT FIT!
Waterstone was founded in 2003 as a retained executive search firm focused on recruiting for fit. The firm developed
it's Recruit4Fit™ search process to find candidates that fit the unique cultures of its clients. Waterstone developed proprietary behavioural processes including cultural assessments, directed referencing™ and behavioural-based business case presentations which enabled the firm to recruit with exceptional accuracy for fit and therefore creating outstanding results for its clients.

WATERSTONE CULTURE DASHBOARD™
In 2015, Waterstone created the Waterstone Culture Dashboard™, an annual survey of your team members that is designed to help you do two things: to identify and articulate your culture; and, to benchmark your culture against the behaviours that drive winning cultures – specifically, those of Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures™.
The Waterstone Culture Dashboard™ emerged from years of research and detailed analysis of the data from hundreds of submissions to Waterstone’s Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures™, an annual program now in its 11th year that recognizes leading organizations for having cultures that drive performance. The result is that 10 cultural behavioural drivers have been identifed in this dashboard as having the most impact on results in best-in-class cultures.
The Waterstone Culture Dashboard™ has passed a series of psychometric and reliability tests. This includes demonstrating that the items function appropriately and that the data supports the structuring of the items into the specified dimensions. This supports the ability of the tool to measure culture consistently, with high-reliability 5 or 7-point scales for each of the 10 culture indexes in the model. The tool has the added ability of measuring not only individual-level perceptions of culture accurately but also the aggregate of those perceptions (to get an accurate read on the culture of the organization as a whole). This measurement has shown strong agreement and reliability between these two levels, suggesting that individual ratings on the tool can indeed be aggregated to the organization-level. Our data has consistently reported positive and statistically signicant relationships between the 10 culture indexes and a range of organizational performance criteria. This means the Waterstone Culture Dashboard™ can also show how an organization performs over time – critical analysis and insight for organizations looking to move the needle on organizational performance.

Director, Executive Search and Recruitment
Hira has over a decade of continuous experience in the recruitment world, where she has been exposed to a range of industries and verticals.
She began her career as a research consultant with a global retained search firm. Her desire to focus on executive recruitment strategy and execution, prompted Hira to transition to corporate talent acquisition for two national retailers. There she created the vision, strategy and execution of executive talent acquisition and development while building organizational capability as well as strengthening the leadership pipeline.
Over the next seven years, Hira led national mandates to build and execute in-house centralized recruitment models, including sourcing strategy, candidate relationship management programs and executive on-boarding. She played an active role in designing an executive level recruitment effectiveness dashboard highlighting engagement, branding, and performance and risk management metrics.
Through execution of “culture of recruiting” methodologies, Hira led initiatives to encourage leaders to be talent scouts while training and developing her recruitment teams.
Having started her recruiting career with a boutique firm, she soon transitioned back to her roots with Waterstone Human Capital as Director, Executive Search and Recruitment, where she is responsible to lead and manage executive requisitions on a national and global scale. This consists of full cycle recruiting, cultural assessments, in-depth targeted research as well as direct client management and interfacing.
She proudly leads a team of talent acquisition experts and also plays an active role in Canada’s Most Admired Cultures & Canada’s Most Admired CEO initiatives.
Hira’s natural interest and curiosity in people translates into all aspects of her life. As a self-proclaimed world traveler and pseudo food critic she enjoys exploring countries all over the world, immersing herself into their history and culture.

she held for seven years. As an entrepreneur, she co-ran a successful public relations
and communications firm from 2003 to 2009, working with a number of national,
