We’re thrilled to announce that E. Hunter Harrison, the former president and CEO of CN, has agreed to join us on the morning of Monday, June 7th, 2010 at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, to tell us the incredible story of how culture change impacted performance at CN.
Mr. Harrison is one of the most successful railroaders on the continent. His Canadian speaking engagements are few and far between, so this is a rare opportunity indeed. As the author of 2005's How We Work and Why, and of 2008's Change, Leadership, Mud and Why, Hunter Harrison is an expert in the challenges involved in changing corporate culture.
Introducing Mr. Harrison and setting up the session for us will be his former colleague, Les Dakens, the retired senior vice-president of people for CN. Les is also the co-author of Switchpoints: Culture Change on the Fast Track and the author of Employee Performance Scorecards: Creating a Win-Win Formula for Your Organization. Both books tell the story of how company-wide culture change motivated employees and turned CN into the powerhouse it is today.
