Duncan Bureau, Vice President, Sales, WestJet
Duncan Bureau has 20 years of experience working with and managing professionals in Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States, and over the last nine years with WestJet, WestJet Vacations and WestJet Cargo.
Duncan joined WestJet in April 2001 as a revenue management analyst, and then moved into business development where he worked on the launch of WestJet’s first co-branded credit card and off-balance sheet loyalty program. He was then appointed Director of Sales and Business Development for WestJet where he was part of a team that started to build formal relationships with strategic accounts in the travel trade.
Duncan has worked in Toronto, Calgary, London (England), Rome, Vancouver and New York and has gained experience in dealing with business leaders from around the globe. He has worked with Gulf Oil, Greyhound, Greyhound Air, Canadian Airlines, Nortel, The Loyalty Group, Welsh Carson Anderson and Stowe (a private equity firm in New York City) and WestJet.
Duncan was named one of the Top 25 Travel Executives in North America by BTN in Washington DC in 2008 - the only Canadian named to this list. Over the last few years Duncan has participated as a Board Member or Committee Member with the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), the Canadian Tourism Commission - on the Americas Committee - and most recently with Discover America, as a Canada Board Member.
Duncan is a graduate of The University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management in Accounting and Finance.
Gordon Fisher, President, The National Post
Gordon Fisher is publisher of National Post, one of a number of senior roles he has played with that newspaper since its startup in October, 1998.
Mr. Fisher has an extensive media background, the roots of which are grounded in a career in journalism that began in his home province of Alberta. He has since held a number of senior executive positions in many Canadian cities on both the editorial and business sides of the media industry.
Prior to his appointment as publisher of the Post, Mr. Fisher served as President, News and Information, Canwest Global Communications, with responsibilities covering newspapers, television and digital information.
Other responsibilities of note include roles as editor-in-chief, general manager and publisher of the Ottawa Citizen; publisher of the Kingston-Whig Standard and managing editor of the Vancouver Sun.
David Kinley, President and Managing Director, Waterstone Human Capital
David, one of the most sought after and successful search professionals in North America, has almost 20 years of executive search experience in Canada, the U.S., Asia and Europe.
David leads Waterstone's technology and private equity practice, as well as the firm's relationship as the Canadian partner of Stanton Chase International, a leading global executive search firm. He is also Vice Chair of the Canada's 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures Board of Governors.
Prior to joining Waterstone, David was co-founder and CEO of Kinley & Connelly. He is a former Board Member and Managing Partner at Christian & Timbers, formerly one of the world's largest technology-based executive search firms. He was also a Search Partner and Practice Leader at The Caldwell Partners.
David, a member of the Leadership Advisory Board at the University of Toronto, is a recent graduate of the Corporate Governance program at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
Carol Stephenson, Dean, Richard Ivey School of Business, Lawrence G. Tapp Chair in Leadership
Since joining the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario in 2003, Carol Stephenson has led the drive to re-shape the teaching of business education.
In 2005, the School, led by Dean Stephenson, underwent significant and innovative change with the launch of Cross-Enterprise Leadership, and a move towards an intensive 12-month MBA Program. Addressing the new challenges and realities of a global business environment, Ivey embraced a more integrated approach for the curriculum; one that looks beyond the silos and traditional functional disciplines, and approaches business issues from a perspective that spans the entire enterprise.
Ms. Stephenson began her career at Bell Canada in 1973, advancing through a series of management positions to join the executive ranks in 1988. From 1995 to 1998, as President and CEO of Stentor Resource Centre Inc., she led the national marketing and technology development centre for Canada's nine telecommunications companies. Then, as President and CEO of Lucent Technologies Canada from 1999 to 2003, she spearheaded the team that succeeded in tripling Lucent's market share in Canada despite an industry downturn.
Ms. Stephenson is Director of Intact Financial Services Corporation (formerly ING Canada); and, Director of Manitoba Telecom Services Board of Directors. Carol served as a Board of Directors member for GM Canada, until she was appointed by the Governments of Canada and Ontario to serve as a Board Member for General Motors Company. Ms. Stephenson is Chair of the Ontario Research Fund Advisory Board and Chair of the Federal Government's Advisory Committee on Senior Level Retention and Compensation. From 2005 to 2007, Ms. Stephenson served as a Member of the Prime Minister's Advisory Council on Science and Technology. In November 2006, she was appointed by the Federal Government to serve on the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Olympic Games Organizing Committee (VANOC).
Ms. Stephenson has earned significant recognition for her community work, and industry involvement. The Canadian Women in Communications Association named her Woman of the Year in 1995. In 2001, Ms. Stephenson received the acclaimed Woman of Distinction designation from the YWCA, and in 2004, the National Post named Ms. Stephenson as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women. Ms. Stephenson was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Canadian Information Productivity in 2005 for her contribution in building a competitive telecommunications industry in Canada, and in the same year, was named one of Canada's Top 100 Women. In 2008, Carol Stephenson was inducted in Canada's Telecommunications Hall of Fame. In December 2009, Carol was appointed Officer of the Order of Canada.
Ms. Stephenson graduated with a BA (Honours) from the University of Toronto in 1973, and completed the Executive Program at the Graduate School of Business Administration, University of California at Berkeley in 1989. Ms. Stephenson completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 1994. She received an Honourary Doctorate in Engineering from Ryerson Polytechnic University in 2000.

Alexander has 20 years of digital marketing and communication experience working with an international client base. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Design Lab, a Toronto based communication and marketing firm. As an industry expert in brand communication via print, digital and mobile channels, Alexander advises industry leading companies on how to grow their target market both internally and externally. As a Vice-President of Canada's 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures, he brings a wealth of insight as to how companies can foster their culture via clear communications delivered through solid marketing and communication strategies.
Alexander is an avid pilot, oil painter and sailor and sits on a number of Boards. He is married with two children and lives in Toronto.
